We are going to occupy our headquarters: Mwonzora vows
Senator Douglas Mwonzora, who belongs to the faction of the MDC-T, has vowed his political party will, in the near future, inhabit the Morgan Tsvangirai House which is currently being used by the MDC-Alliance.
Addressing Journalists at Mudziri’s home, Mwonzora said they are going to occupy the Morgan Tsvangirai House in a lawful and constitutional manner, Pindula News has revealed.
“We are going to occupy our premises, we are going to occupy our headquarters. “It’s a question of time and our colleagues who are holding on to that property know that we are going to occupy our property. But, we will always act in a lawful, constitutional manner and we will act in a responsible manner. “As you can see this is a measured leadership, responsible leadership and we are going to take those steps necessary to occupy our citadel.
The MDC-T is taking furniture from the Morgan Tsvangirai House and hiding it, Monzwora said. “We got information that some of the leaders who had lost party leadership positions after the Supreme Court judgment were stripping Harvest House equipment. Computers were being taken away, furniture was being taken away.
“We now know that some of the computer accessories are at a house in Highfields belonging to one of the councilors. We now know that some of the furniture from the sixth floor, which is the secretary general’s office, is at a house in Madokero,” he said.
Mwonzora also made claims that the 2014 National Council Structures meeting which was held at the Morgan Tsvangirai House on Thursday was unlawful and they will not respect it but they will continue to focus on their plans to bring back the legislators they recalled recently.
