Harare-The Zimbabwe School Examination Council (ZIMSEC) has announced today that June 2020 examinations will start on 22 June and end on 22 July 2020.
This development was revealed on Wednesday by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education, Tumusang Thabela during a hearing before the Parliamentary Portfolio Committee on Education, Pindula News has reported.
Thabela said the Ministry of Education will announce, in the near future, how the June examinations will proceed.
She said the Ministry of Education will be considering a number of issues before schools are reopened, and they will need to be disinfected.
More furniture will be required to ensure social distancing guidelines.
The issues that have to do with the measures by the Ministry of Health and Child Care are meant to circumvent the spread of the coronavirus.
