President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s visit to the Mugabe family at the  blue roof residency yesterday exposed tensions and pending disputes between the Mugabe family and his administration over the late leader’s funeral arrangements.

Mnangagwa yesterday held a one on one private meeting with Grace Mugabe which failed to resolve the issue over the late leader’s burial proceedings.

Revelations emerged that mysteries, and the secrecy surrounding former President Robert Mugabe burial were emanating from strained relations with his successor Mnangagwa.

Mugabe died a bitter man enraged by the manner he was deposed from power by a military coup in November 2017.

The former leader is said to have left instructions to be buried at his rural homestead following the fallout with successor  President Mnangagwa.

Sources close to his family suggest that the state is going hold a mock burial at National Heroes Acre then later on his body will secretly be laid to rest at his rural homestead in Zvimba were some traditional Chiefs want him buried.
