Government has circumspectly remained mum to  announce Former President Robert Mugabe’s final resting place.

Adressing the media in Harare today, Minister of Information Monica Mutswangwa notified the state’s arrangements of Mugabe’s funeral but failed to disclose were he will be buried.

“Government has today, dispatched a delegation headed by vice president Kembo Mohadi, to Singapore which is expected to accompany the body of cde Mugabe back home.

“The body is expected in Zimbabwe, Harare any time on Wednesday September 11 2019.

“Burial is set for September 15 2019. You will be given more updates as more information on the program trickles in,” she said.

Government’s silence to disclose Mugabe’s final resting place has reportedly exposed the wrangles between the state and the late leader’s family on were he will be laid to rest.

The ruling party ZANU PF want Mugabe buried in the National Heroes Acre while Mugabe’s family has been resistng the ruling party’s efforts in a bid to honour his rumoured final wishes to be buried in his rural homestead in Zvimba, following a fallout with his lieutenants who removed in him in a coup in 2017.
