Rogue baton-weilding police officers this past Saturday ran amok randomly assaulting citizens for no apparent reason in Harare’s CBD.

A viral clip circulating on social media circles shows civilians fleeing the rogue police service also smashing motorists windscreens.

This lawless act is the latest installment of human rights violations EU, America and the international community have constantly been warning the Zimbabwean government to uphold.

Government has of late failed to honour its constitutional obligations thwarting any potential civil uprisings protesting against the grueling economic hardships.

Zimbabwe’s failure to uphold basic human rights has created a rift that has detended President Emerson Mnangagwa’s reengangement plans with the international community.
