President Emerson Mnangagwa, using his Presidential powers has granted Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission (ZACC) the powers to arrest corrupt government and public officials.

“As a listening President I have granted the arresting powers to ZACC which was never there before, to demonstrate my seriousness in fighting against  corruption.

“The newly appointed crocodile teeth, in dealing with corruption must be used without fear or favour and ensure that all perpetrators are brought to book,” he said.

President Mnangagwa cautioned ZACC that these powers should not be used to settle old scores or pending skirmishes as there was public anticipation to weed out corruption.
