Build Zimbabwe Alliance (BZA) leader, Presidential Candidate Noah Manyika has described President Emmerson Mnangagwa as an uncaring, ruthless and individualistic leader.
Noah Manyika said President E.D. Mnangagwa is depriving Zimbabweans of their constitutional rights and charging them with treason whenever they attempt to exercise them.
“There have been clear cases in recent times that show the heartlessness of the people governing us, including the scarf-wearing “technocrats” who are by all accounts having the time of their lives being part of a government that shoots citizens or charges them with treason for exercising their constitutional rights.” he said.
Manyika said President E.D Mnangagwa is not painfully concerned with the traumatic, sorrowful and dire situations which Zimbabweans are bearing through the scarcity of medicines in hospitals and calamities in Zimbabwe due to Cyclone Idai which left many homeless and disdained.
It was said by Manyika that President ED Mnangagwa is not proactive as this was evidenced by his failure to give warnings from his office prior to the effects of the Cyclone Idai.
“Those cases include the shootings, the Battlefields mining disaster, the situation in our hospitals, and now Cyclone Idai. When the President and his delegation left the country to go to the UAE, they knew full well that the cyclone was bearing down on us. There were no warnings from his office, no plans for people in the direct path of the storm to be evacuated,
“Cutting short a trip he should have had the decency to postpone or cancel is meaningless. What we see is a president living up to his reputation as a cold and hardhearted man in spite of his claims that he is “as soft as wool, ” he said.
