President Emmerson Mnangagwa mourns ZBC Diplomatic Corresponded Judith Makwanya who died today at West End Clinic in Harare due to high blood pressure.
It is said that Judith Makwanya was diagnosed with high blood pressure last week on Thursday, condition got worse on Monday this week and eventually resulted in stroke.
Speaking on behalf of President Emmerson Mnangagwa, Deputy Chief Secretary, Presidential Communications George Charamba conveyed heartfelt condolences to the Makwanya family who lost their beloved one.
“On behalf of His Excellence the President, Cde Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa, I wish to express my deepest and heartfelt condolences to the family on the passing on of Judith Makwanya .
“ A seasoned and committed journalist, the late Cde Mankwanya leaves behind a hard to-fill-gap in the Broadcast sub-sector of media industry.
“Many will remember her strident and passionate reports inspired by a deep love and principled stance in defence of the National Interest which earned her wrath of the West by way of punitive sanctions imposed on her. We will miss her sorely. May her sole rest in peace,” George Charamba said.
