Mwenezi – President Emmerson Mnangagwa has described the MDC Alliance as a lost cause who do not want to unite with others in order to build the country.
Addressing party supporters in Mwenezi on Saturday, Mnangagwa said he has invited the MDC to join others but they have refused
“Out of 23 political parties which participated in the 2018 harmonised elections, most of them came and only MDCAlliance did not come, they are lost.
“They are always like that, they were always lost.
“You want to remain in the bush and not join others at home,” he said.
He said MDC Alliance was being influenced by outsiders.
“You are being influenced by people who have their parents in their countries while you are children of this nation,” he said.
Mnangagwa said he will continue dialogue with other parties.
“We want Zimbabweans to unite and walk together.
“We will continue the dialogue with these other parties,” he said.
He said political parties will discuss ways to mitigate current challenges in the dialogue meetings.
“We will talk about all the challenges that the country is facing.
“We will discuss how we can handle the challenges going forward,”he said.
Mnangagwa said his government was ready to take advice from opposition political parties.
“If you see us going the wrong way as government, you should tell us that you are going the wrong way but you must do it peacefully,” he said.
Mnangagwa last week called for a dialogue with all political parties that participated in the 2018 harmonised elections.
Several political parties attended while other political parties which include MDC Alliance and NPF snubbed the event.
