Biti sentenced to 6 months in jail

MDC Alliance principal Tendai Biti insists that Nelson Chamisa won the disputed 2018 presidential elections.
On the second count, Biti has been sentenced to 6 months in jail, which has been wholly suspended on the condition that he does not commit a similar offense.

Harare – Harare Magistrate Gloria Takundwa has sentenced MDC Alliance Vice Chairperson Tendai Biti to a total of 6 months and 7 days in jail on two counts of violating the electoral act.

On the first count, Biti was sentenced to 7 days in prison, which has been wholly suspended on the condition that he pays a $200 fine.

On the second count, Biti has been sentenced to 6 months in jail, which has been wholly suspended on the condition that he does not commit a similar offense.

MDC Alliance leader Nelson Chamisa was at the court to offer support.
