Dynamos president Solomon Sanyamandwe has threatened to quit the club if his proposal of restructuring of the executive is not met, the Mail and Telegraph has learnt.

He accused some administration and executive members for lacking a progressive mentality for the club’s growth but were preoccupied with lining their pockets.

“What I want to do is if I propose for restructuring and if it is rejected, then I will leave the club. Last time I proposed kuti paite vamwe vanhu vanoenda who are responsible nezvinhu zvese izvi. Izvezvi izvi we owe vana Barclays ma $17 000 of which mari yacho it was about $400 but it added up to that amount because of vamwe vanhu vasingade kuti club iyenderere mberi,(Last time I proposed a restructuring but some selfish individuals rejected, they don’t want the club to progress,” he told the Mail and Telegraph in an interview this week .

Dembare is currently going through a difficult time after finishing 11th on the league table and just six points above the relegation zone.

The Glamour Boys’ woes continue to pile up after the football governing board, FIFA, recently ordered the club to pay Cameroonian striker Christian Joel Epoupa’s outstanding debts amounting to$16 755 within a month.

Epoupa scooped the club’s Golden Boot and managed to feature among the Castle Lager Soccer Stars finalists in 2017 but failed to stay long with the Harare giants claiming they owed him outstanding salaries to the tune of US$18,055 for his salaries.

Sanyamandwe told the Mail and Telegraph  that a complete overhaul of the club is the only panacea to the club’s woes.

“This club needs a complete overhaul and even restructuring the administration because we can’t operate like this. Epoupa was demanding very little amount of money but now we are paying a lot of money because of laziness by some people who don’t want to work,” he said.

Sanyamandwe also said some members from the team’s administration are only after collecting money realised from gate takings and are not worried about the  team’s progress.

“I am facing a big challenge kuteam uku because if I want to implement something zvinoita kuti team iyenderere mberi it will be disturbed nevamwe vanhu vanongofunga zvisina kana nebasa rese. Zvekuti team yaita sei they don’t care. They are after money chete mari yangopinda mumagedhi umu ndoyavanongoda chete,” lamented the Dembare president.
