Harare – ZAOGA Forward in Faith Ministry’s founder Apostle Ezekiel  Guti’s daughter Ethanim is accused of having an extra marital affair with a fellow congregant identified as Gilbery Chadyemhunga.

This was revealed in a legal battle in which Ethanim dragged her ‘abusive’ husband to court on charges of domestic violence after he allegedly threatened her with a firearm.

Ethanim Perfect Munamato Nyajeka (29) who is believed to be the last born to Guti was accused of having an extra marital affair with Gilbery Chadyemhunga who is also a pastor at the church.

This prompted the accused Lindsay Nyajeka (35) to point  a firearm at his wife, the court heard.

Nyajeka appeared before a Harare magistrate facing charges of Contravenimg section 27 (B) of the firearms act chapter 10:09, negligently or recklessly discharging a firearm and domestic violence and was not asked to plead.

Nyajeka is being represented by veteran lawyer Jonathan Samukange.

Prosecuting, Devoted Nyagani alleged that, sometime in December last year, Nyajeka and Munamato had a misunderstanding over allegations of extra marital affairs.

Nyajeka was allegedly accusing his wife of having an extra marital affair with Gilbery Chadyemhunga who is also a pastor in ZAOGA.

Munamato reportedly tried to explain that nothing was going on as the two were just workmates.

It is the State’s case that Nyajeka charged towards his wife, took a gun from the drawer and cocked it.

He allegedly pointed the gun at Munamato who then screamed for help.

It is alleged that Nyajeka then fired one shot at the ceiling before leaving Munamato.

He was threatening to kill himself.

On October 17, Nyajeka reportedly ordered his wife to change the navy blue slacks she was wearing .

He allegedly said this in a very harsh tone prompting Munamato to ask him to tone down his voice.

The court heard that this did not go well with Nyajeka who then charged at her beating her and with open hands and fists.

The matter was rolled over to November 13 for trial.
